Iron
The mineral salts of iron have many different functions in the body. The body cannot produce iron itself. For this reason, the intake of iron through food, food supplements or medicines is of essential importance. The German Nutrition Society (DGE) recommends an iron intake of 10 to 15 mg per day for adolescents and adults1.
Iron has a function in cell division and contributes towards the normal cognitive function, the normal energy metabolism and the normal red blood cell production. Moreover, iron is co-responsible for a sufficient oxygen transport within the body, an intact immune system and the reduction of tiredness.
Iron can be administered in the form of tablets, effervescent tablets, drinking granules, direct granules, powders, capsules, coated tablets and injection solutions.
Our products are in conformity with the standard pharmacopeias (EP, USP, DAB, DAC) and/or the conditions imposed by food law (E number, FCC) and are available in different grades, particle size distributions and bulk weights.
